I need to catch up on battle bots haven’t started season 2 yet. Enjoyed the fights last season but the presentation wasn’t to my tastes.

Why is it the housebots were always so powerful compared to competitors? It’s not like they had access to any extra technology or had weapons the competitors couldn’t use? Was there a weight restriction or something in place to make sure the house bots were top?

Competitors were limited to 100 Kg unless they were walkers in that case 200 Kg. House Robots could be as heavy as they want.

the presentation hasn’t changed much but the new competitors are adding a new challenge to make it interesting

Thats a shame. The presentation doesnt bother me too much but I do wish that if its going to be cheesy, it would at least be amusing. The fights are worth it alone obviously though and battlebots isnt too bad at giving an insight into the bots either. Basically i miss craig charles’ theatrical cheesiness that gave rovot wars a bit of life and character. If that didnt make sense then blame rum and beer.

Just the weight limit and a couple of other rules. Competitor bots are a lot more restricted. That said the competitor bots could often happily take on the house bots.

yeah I’ll miss Craig Charles and his cheesy one liner sign offs at the end of the show as well as his banter with the contestants, not sure how it’ll be with Dara
